Keith Bassage was a Forest Ranger for the state of New York in the Adirondack Park for about 20 years (part time from 1988-93 and full time from 1994-2010). He last worked in the St. Regis Canoe Area, the only designated Canoe Area in New York State. The Adirondacks comprise about 6.6 million acres making it the largest publicly protected area in the lower 48 states, bigger than Yellowstone, Glacier, Everglades, and Grand Canyon National Parks combined. UPDATE - This workday had been moved to May 12th due to the heavy snowfall in the area. Our planting site this year is located to the Northeast of Wild Rose, WI on the Pine River.
