Habitat Day – Davies Creek

Come join members of the FVTU, young and old, male and female. Along with the WDNR we celebrate the start of the 33 continuous year of trout habitat restoration of Davies Creek by Fox Valley Trout Unlimited

The noted past WDNR environmentalist Elward Engle will share his knowledge and the history of Davies Creek and its importance to the Pine River trout fishery.

The habitat improvement day will begin at 8:00 A.M. and end at 12:00 noon when lunch will be served lunch by Jim Hlaban a long time member of Fox Valley Trout Unlimited who is another well know fisherman, environmentalist and chef.

We will building a wood chip path paralleling Davies Creek to provide ease of access to viewing Davies creek as done along other rivers and steams in the state. Consider bring a pair of loppers and buck saw to aid in clearing.

Work is optional enjoying the environment and Davies Creek is required.
