Fox Valley Trout Unlimited Fundraiser to support Trout Stream Conservation

Fox Valley Trout Unlimited (FVTU) is participating in an online fundraiser to support conservation and habitat work in the Central Sands Area of Wisconsin.  This work is the foundation of Trout Unlimited and is the core of our mission and vision as an organization.  Through a partnership with three other TU Chapters (Central Wisconsin, Frank Hornberg, and Shawpaca) we will be pooling our fundraising efforts to maximize the positive impact we can have on area trout streams.

This fundraiser raises the funds necessary to sponsor DNR LTE work crews.  Annually, the 4 chapters meet with the DNR to develop a work plan for the Central region of Wisconsin.  In addition to financially supporting the DNR work crews, our chapters participate in monthly habitat workdays on the third Saturday of every month from May until September.  Details of our workdays can be found on FVTU’s website on the Events Calendar page (www.foxvalleytu.org).  Some of the rivers impacted by our efforts are the Mecan River, Chaffee Creek, Wedde Creek, Willow Creek, Pine River, Waupaca River, West Branch of the White River, Radley Creek, North and South Branch of Little Wolf River, and many others.
