Fox Valley Trout Unlimited (FVTU) is running an online sweepstake fundraiser to support conservation and habitat work in the Central Sands Area of Wisconsin.  This work is the foundation of Trout Unlimited and is the core of our mission and vision as an organization.  Through a partnership with three other TU Chapters (Central Wisconsin, Frank Hornberg, and Shawpaca) we will be pooling our fundraising efforts to maximize the positive impact we can have on area trout streams.

This fundraiser raises the funds necessary to sponsor DNR LTE work crews.  In a typical year we need around $30,000 for the DNR LTE work crews.  Annually, the 4 chapters meet with the DNR to develop a work plan for the Central region of Wisconsin.  In addition to financially supporting the DNR work crews, our chapters participate in monthly habitat workdays on the third Saturday of every month from May until September.  Details of our workdays can be found on FVTU’s website on the Events Calendar page (www.foxvalleytu.org).  Some of the rivers impacted by our efforts are the Mecan River, Chaffee Creek, Wedde Creek, Willow Creek, Pine River, Waupaca River, West Branch of the White River, Radley Creek, North and South Branch of Little Wolf River, and many others.

If you are not interested in participating in the fundraiser, you can also make a tax-deductible donation!  See all the details below…

Sweepstakes!

Purchase tickets online with a chance to win a bamboo rod and reel package valued at more than $1,600!

Our good friend and Trout Unlimited supporter, Scott Grady, has graciously crafted and donated a 7′ 2″ 4/5 wt Bamboo rod for our Spring Sweepstakes.  The rod is based on the Driggs River taper designed by Paul Young, a famous Michigan rod maker.  This taper is ideal for fishing small brushy streams often found in the Michigan UP and the “driftless” areas of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.

The 2-piece design is blonde cane with a muldara burl reel seat.  It is wrapped in red with a red agate stripper guide. The rod will come with a rod bag and an aluminum protective tube and is paired with an Orvis Battenkill II reel, a 4wt fly SA Infinity fly line, leader, tippet, and box of flies tied by FVTU members.  In addition, FVTU member, Al Johnson, has donated one of his handmade landing nets to complete the package.

Sweepstakes entries are 10 for $10, 30 for $25, 75 for $50, 135 for $75, and 200 for $100
