Looking for volunteer casting instructors to assist youth activity!

Fox River Academy student, Eli Lemke, is requesting help from our TU chapter to support a “fishing exploration day”.  The event is being hosted by the Academy Fishing Club.  Many of you may have met Eli at the youth fly tying table at our last Cabin Fever Day earlier this year.

FVTU member, Tony Pudlo, will be taking some our chapter rod/reel combos to the event for the students to get exposure to fly casting.  What we need are a few TU members to attend the event and provide some basic fly casting instruction to the Academy students.

The event is scheduled for May 21st at Fox River Academy (1000 S Mason St, Appleton, WI 54914) from 11:15am to 3:00pm.  Eli is planning 4 student group rotations each lasting around 45 minutes.

Some chapter members are already committed to the Rawhide Boy’s Ranch Habitat Day that is scheduled on the same day.  If you are not supporting the Habitat Day and can spare some time to work with some local students, please contact Tony Pudlo at (920) 427-3426 so he can pass along to Eli and the Academy fishing club that you can assist with the event.

Thanks for your consideration…..

Graeme Hodson – FVTU VP
