2018 Trout season is winding down in Wisconsin, however FVTU Habitat Coordinator Terry Ziegler is already working on the 2019 Habitat Day calendar. TU’s primary mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. Fox Valley TU supports conservation by raising funds through our annual Cabin Fever Day (click here to see our upcoming fundraiser on January 19th, 2019). Every year we seek to increase our financial support of fish habitat conservation across Central Wisconsin.
In addition to our conservation work with other TU Chapters and the Wisconsin DNR, FVTU also partners with Rawhide Boy’s Ranch to not only further the conservation of miles of central Wisconsin trout streams, but also to provide an opportunity for at-risk young men to work together in a collaborative environment, participate in a volunteer activity, and engage with positive male role models.
Work days are held on Tuesday’s and begin around 9:15am. Each event ends with lunch at around 12:45pm. 2019 dates are May 14th, June 25th, July 23rd, August 13th, and September 24th.
