November 2017 Members Meeting

November 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Social hour 6-7
  • Meeting 7-9,
  • Taylor Ribberbusch from TU National and Bob Hasse are the presenters

November is here! The trout and salmon are making their annual run up the tributaries of those huge cold water resources we call the Great Lakes. Trout Unlimited National has many people dedicated to the conservation, protection, and restoration of these important cold water resources. One of those people is Taylor Ridderbusch.

Taylor is a conservationist with a degree in political science. Some of the current issues are Asian carp, public lands, Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and net pen aquaculture. He will be updating us on those issues and teaching us how to become involved as advocates. We should all know the current issues the great lakes are facing and how we can help protect them.

November is also the start of the “fly tying season”. The best way to start out this season is to attend a Bob Hasse presentation. Bob’s experience in fly tying and fishing these flies is surpassed by few. His focus will be on catching more fish because of a slight change made to a fly pattern. Start this year’s “fly tying season” by hearing from one of the legends.
