The Night of the Unusual Bugs – Central TU

January 9 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Central Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hosting a program called
“The Night of the Unusual Bugs”. The program will be held upstairs at the Fin &
Feather on January 9, 2018 and will run from 6:30pm to 8:45pm. Bob Haase is putting
together a night where we are going to learn all about the unusual bugs that trout feed on
and the flies that represent them. Tom Lager from the Fox Valley Chapter of TU is going
to talk on the entomology aspects of these unusual bugs and Charlie Piette from Tightlines
in DePere is going to talk on the flies and presentation methods used to fish them. We will
have around 15 area fly tiers tie their favorite fly patterns from around 6:30pm to around
8:45pm. This is a great opportunity to learn more about these aquatic insects, the flies that
represent them, and how to fish them. Listen to two great speakers starting at 7:30pm and
watch some great tiers tying some new and interesting fly patterns that you may want to
add to your fly box for 2018. Bring a friend!
